Lugnaquilla

LUGNAQUILLA. At 914m Lugnaquilla the highest mountain of the Wicklow range south of Dublin and the second highest one in Ireland. The walk start from Drumgoff recreation car park and follow a wooden track through woodland for a mile then , follows a cliff track above Kelly’s Lough and up to Lugnaquilla. Coming back, we go down to the lake and back to the car park. Refreshment after the walk at the Lodge in Drumgoff.
Duration around 6 hours walk with breaks included.
Grade = moderate to hard.
Terrain = Part trails and part off trails, wooden boards and forestry tracks.
