GALTYMORE.

Galtymore is one of the popular mountain range to hike in Ireland. Located in the South-West of the country between county Limerick and county Tipperary, Galtymore sits at an altitude of 918 m high which gives a great view of the surrounding with other mountain ranges in near distances.

GALTYMORE and Dawson’s Table.

The walk start from the car park at Clydagh River bridge and after 20 minutes walks through the woodland, we go up toward Cush Coil mountain which summit the area at 639m. We then, go up to Galtybeg where we probably will have our lunch ! After which, we will go all the way up to Dawson’s Table which is the top of the Galtymore mountains at 919m. After spending few minutes or more at the top of it taking picutes or selfies , we will go down toward the car park going through Slievecushnabinnia at 766m and down the woodland.

Duration = around 6 hours.

Grade = Hard

Terrain = Forestry tracks but mostly on trails.
