Mountain Skills 1 Course / Pre MS Assessment August 29-30 In the Wicklow Mountains
Mountain Skills 1 and 2 is a nationally accredited course by the Mountain Training Board of Ireland and is delivered in an upland environment.
The aim of this course is to help you learn the skills you need to get out hiking: independently, safely, responsibly in the mountains of Ireland, the UK and beyond.
You will learn how to navigate with confidence using a map, a compass and proper hiking equipment in any weather conditions during daytime, in poor visibility or at night (MS2).
At the end of this course, you will have taken a big step forward in developing your own self-confidence and enjoyment in hiking.
First Aid Course REC3 – Santry Community Centre, Dublin 9 – Sept 05-06
REC 3 or Rescue Emergency Care level 3 is ideal for people working or doing any leisure activities in the outdoors included sea activities or in the Irish mountains. Part of the course is indoor which covers most of the theory and an outdoor session which uses a balance of learning and practical intermixed with scenarios of real situations.
MOUNTAIN SKILLS 2 Course – Wicklow – Sept 12-13 (Wild Camping Optional)

Looking for a fun and challenging outdoor activity in the Irish mountains and hills?
Participants will be taught by a professional mountaineering Ireland course director the basics of map reading skills, how to set the map, navigation tips and how to keep safe while hiking in the Irish mountains in poor visibility.
